WPA Guide to 1930s Nevada WPA Guide to 1930s Nevada, Nevada writer's project of the Work Projects Administration; foreword to the new edition by Russell R. Elliott, originally published in 1940. This book remains one of Nevada's premiere tour and travel volumes. It includes material on the state geography and geology, plant and animal life, and presents an excellent image of Nevada in the early part of the twentieth century. Nevada Trivia Book Nevada Trivia Book by Rich Moreno. A Nevada writer and journalist, Moreno tests trivia buffs about their knowledge of the state in this revised edition. Be sure to pack this guide on your next Nevada road trip.
WPA Traveling America's Loneliest Road Traveling America's Loneliest Road, a Geologic and Natural History Tour through Nevada along U.S. Highway 50 by Joseph V. Tingley and Kris Ann Pizarro. A tour guide for U.S. Highway 50 from the California state line to the Utah state line.
Excerpts from "Rebecca's Walk Through Time" Backyard Travels in Northern Nevada by Rich Moreno. The seasoned Nevada journalist compiled the best of his more than a decade of travel journalism for this collection of Nevada-based adventures. Published by the the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada, all the proceeds from the book benefit the museum.
Excerpts from "Rebecca's Walk Through Time" Roadside History of Nevada by Richard Moreno divides Nevada into six geographical-historical areas, exploring the uniqueness and history of each. Survey the boom and bust of the mining industry, trace the desperate plight of the Donner party trapped in Sierra snow, and observe the growth of gambling from low-profile to a neon-castle industry.
