KNPB Honors Nell J. Redfield Foundation at Aged to Perfection Gala

(Reno, NV August 31, 2016) – KNPB will present its annual Aged to Perfection Tribute Gala on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino from 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. This year’s distinguished honorees are Jeane Jones, Jerry Smith and The Nell J. Redfield Foundation.

During her life, Nell J. Redfield undertook a program of charitable giving which focused on education, healthcare and aid to needy women and children, care for the homeless, as well as a variety of other community causes. Since her death, those objectives and many more have been advanced by her successors.

Smith has been a member of the Nell J. Redfield Foundation since its inception, and holds the positions of Foundation Manager and Vice President. Jones has been a director of The Nell J. Redfield Foundation since its beginning and is the President of the Foundation. Both Smith and Jones are credited with preserving Redfield’s legacy of supporting our community.

Kurt Mische, president and CEO of KNPB said, “KNPB has been privileged to partner with Jeane, Jerry and The Redfield Foundation for more than 25 years to help provide great programming and educational resources that are used throughout our northern Nevada and northeastern California region.”

Past Aged to Perfection honorees include Senator Bill Raggio, Reno Mayor Bob Cashell, Bruno Benna, Norm Dianda, Joy and Joe Crowley, Jennifer and Phil Satre, Gail and John Sande III, Mary K and Mark Knobel and the Bradley Family.

Cocktails begin at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m., followed by a live auction and the tribute presentation. The dinner will pair fine wines with delicious food. All proceeds help support KNPB Channel 5 programs and educational services utilized throughout northern Nevada and northeastern California.
