KNPB Promotes Harmon to Director of Programming

(Reno, NV) –KNPB Public Television announces the promotion of Barbara Harmon to Director of Programming for its three broadcast channels. She has been KNPB’s Traffic Manager as well as Managing Editor of the station’s monthly program guide since 1995.

Harmon brings 38 years of Broadcast Television experience to the position. She began her career at KOB-TV in Albuquerque, New Mexico before moving to Los Angeles in 1984 to work at KCOP-TV in national sales and traffic then 10 years at KCBS-TV managing Traffic for sports programming. In 1995, Barbara and her husband relocated to Reno and she began her career with KNPB.   

“Barbara has been a valued member of our team for 22 years. We will continue to benefit from her experience and skill as she takes on additional responsibility for programming KNPB, KNPB Create and KNPB PBS KIDS,” said KNPB President & CEO Kurt Mische.
