Myers Named KNPB VP of Content & Marketing

(Reno, NV) – A 15-year veteran of KNPB Public Television has been named Vice President of Content & Marketing for the station.  Megan Myers oversees a team of nine who create and produce KNPB’s award-winning local programs like ARTEFFECTS and WILD NEVADA and coordinates the station’s marketing efforts.  She appears on air during the station’s fundraising campaigns.

“We are very pleased to have Megan take on this key leadership position at KNPB,” said station President & CEO Kurt Mische.  “She has earned this opportunity through her excellent performance over the years.  We are always pleased when we can promote a deserving team member.

Myers has worked in almost all departments at KNPB.  A San Diego native, she earned her BA in Communications from Cal State San Marcos and her Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from UNR’s Reynolds School of Journalism, where she has also served as an adjunct instructor.

KNPB is seen by more than 130,000 people weekly in northern Nevada and northeastern California with additional viewership on multicast channels KNPB Create on channel 5.2, and KNPB PBS KIDS on 5.3. KNPB channels are also available on cable and satellite services.
