Rooker Named to KNPB Board of Trustees

Reno, Nev.— Michael Rooker, a Reno-based financial planner and advisor, has joined the KNPB Board of Trustees. Before becoming a wealth advisor for the California/Nevada region of Wells Fargo Private Bank, he served as a trust officer for the company. He has been with Wells Fargo for more than 18 years and in the financial services industry for more than 22 years.

“We are honored to have Michael join our board,” said KNPB President and CEO Kurt Mische. “His experience and his tenure in the market will benefit KNPB, its viewers and its donors.”

Rooker has been a Nevada resident since 1980 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Reno, and maintains his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) designation.

“I’m very excited to join the KNPB team and I’m ready to help make a difference in the station and in the community,” said Rooker. “It’s a treat to be able to work alongside people that are so committed to making a positive impact on our region.”

The 22-member board of trustees is the licensee for Channel 5 Public Broadcasting Inc., which owns and operates KNPB.
