Stanton Named KNPB Vice President of Development

(Reno, NV) – Peter Stanton is bringing his extensive fundraising skill-set to KNPB as Vice President of Development. Stanton is an experienced fundraising leader in this community committed to furthering the mission of impact-driven organizations.

Previously, Stanton has worked at Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada, and most recently at CARE Chest of Sierra Nevada, where he raised over $2 million and grew cash revenue by 20.2% in two years.

Stanton has dedicated his career to making the world a better, more neighborly place and believes deeply in helping donors and trustees achieve their philanthropic goals.

Stanton has years of successful experience in major giving, grants, annual campaigns and special events.

“We are truly pleased to have such an established, strong professional like Peter leading our development efforts,” said KNPB President & CEO Kurt Mische. “His experience in the local market, knowledge of our community, and deep understanding of the role of the not-for-profit sector of the economy make him a real asset to KNPB and our donors.”

Stanton is excited to create relationships with those advancing KNPB’s mission – from donors to the staff, board and volunteers. “I aim to connect KNPB with donors across digital platforms, leading the station’s membership and major giving programs forward and providing a strong base of support for the station’s much-needed work,” Stanton said.

Stanton holds a BA in Economics from Oregon State University.
