The Silver Circle Events

December 2005:

On December 1, 2005, Kliff Kuehl President and CEO of KNPB Channel 5 and his family opened their home for a wonderful holiday event for Channel 5's Silver Circle members. It was a wonderful event where guests enjoyed catching up with friends old and new.

October 2005:

On October 24, 2005 ,Phil and Jennifer Satre graciously opened their beautiful home to celebrate the conclusion of Channel 5's DTV Capital Campaign (the federally mandated conversion to digital media). Mr. Satre was co-chair of the successful camapign along side Mr. John Sande. The campaign concluded $250,000 over goal. Here are some pictures from the elegant event at this wonderful venue:

August 2005:

Great Food, Wonderful Music, A Fun Time! On August 22, 2005 John and Gail Sande graciously opened their home in EaglesNest to Channel 5 for a grand Silver Circle member event. Guests enjoyed barbecue courtesy of BJ's Barbecue with wine donated by Washoe Wine Company. Music to the Max, with the station's very own Ronda Clarke, serenaded everyone with beautiful music all evening long.

April 2005:

Ron and Susan Krump hosted a gathering of Silver Circle members in their home to introduce KNPB’s newest production, One on One: Conversations with Clay Jenkinson. Jenkinson is a well-known local Humanities Scholar. One on One can be seen Saturdays on Channel 5 at 5:30pm.

March 2005:

KNPB hosted an Antiques Roadshow preview event on March 15 at the Harrah’s Automobile Museum. Highlights were shown of the national program taped in Reno over the summer, as well as KNPB’s local production, Reno and the Antiques Roadshow.

Reno broadcaster Bob Carroll was honored for his support of Channel 5's on-air pledge and auction efforts; Rene Smith was selected for her volunteer efforts with Channel 5's Educational efforts ; Susan Krump received the Channel 5 Champion award for her ongoing support of KNPB through her service on KNPB's Board of Trustees, Defining 5 Capital Campaign Leadership Committee and for her role as chairperson of the Silver Circle; Bob Fuller was honored for his longtime volunteer service in KNPB's Production Department; and Darrell Upson for his support of KNPB's Technology Department
