You've heard that television broadcasting is undergoing a dramatic change. On February 17, 2009 the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has mandated that all over-the-air broadcast stations cease transmitting an analog broadcast signal. At this time, any viewer without a television equipped with a digital tuner or a digital-to-analog set-top box converter will no longer be able to view over-the-air broadcasts.
You've always enjoyed PBS programs and now you'll have access to even more quality programs. KNPB Digital TV also offers color and clarity like you've never seen before. Television stations are moving to the same technology at the heart of computers. PBS and KNPB have undertaken an ambitious conversion to provide a more robust television service than anyone could have imagined years ago.
