KNPB Public Broadcasting presents the 16th Annual Aged to Perfection

This year, the event is including an exciting two-nights. The first evening on Thursday, October 10, features an elegant dinner and banquet tribute for the 2013 honorees Gail and John Sande, III. Folowed in November with the annual KNPB live, televised auction of fine wine and selected items.

Gail and John Sande, IIIThe Aged to Perfection Tribute Dinner on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino from 5:30 - 9pm. This year's honorees are Gail and John Sande, III. Gail and John have both served in leadership roles for KNPB. John was a co-chair for capital campaigns in 1990 and 2000. Gail has served as a KNPB Board of Trustee since 2003 and has been the Development Chair, Vice Chair and Board Chair. She currently serves as the Governance Chair. Gail and John are annual members of KNPB at the Silver Circle level and have made significant fundraising contributions to numerous station projects and both capital campaigns.

Gail has been actively involved in the community for the past 37 years, including as the Chair of the Go Red for Women Luncheon, which raises money to fund awareness of heart disease in women, First Tee of Northern Nevada, and the state board for Nevada Humanities. Nationally, Gail serves on the board of The Association for Public Television Stations.

John is involved in numerous community activities; he is currently a Director of the Reno Air Race Association and Chairman of the Reno-Tahoe Open, a PGA tournament.

Aged to PerfectionThis year's Aged to Perfection gala also kicks off the 30th anniversary of KNPB serving the local community. National PBS President and CEO, Paula Kerger, will attend to honor this tremendous 30 year commitment of bringing free, high-quality and educational programming and services for all in northern Nevada and northeastern California.

As this year's honorees, the Sandes join past Aged to Perfection honorees including Senator Bill Raggio, Reno Mayor Bob Cashell, Bruno Benna, Norm Dianda, Joy and Joe Crowley, and Jennifer and Phil Satre.

Cocktails begin at 5:30pm and dinner is served at 7pm, followed by a live auction and the tribute presentation. The dinner will pair fine wines with delicious food.

Tickets are now available with individual tables are available for $2,000 and individual tickets are $250. Sponsored tables are available for $2,500 - $25,000.

Proceeds from the annual tribute dinner and the live TV auction help support KNPB Channel 5 programs and services utilized throughout our northern Nevada and northeastern California communities. Sponsorship packages include recognition during both events and are available at various levels.
