KNPB Channel 5 Public Broadcasting, the region's local PBS Member Station, is kicking off the new year with the PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest, a national initiative designed to promote the advancement of children’s reading skills through hands-on, active learning. The Contest partners with PBS stations nationwide to encourage children grades K-3 in communities across the country to celebrate the power of creating stories and illustrations by submitting their own original work.
The 2012 Contest deadline is April 9.
