We
want to hear why you and your family traveled to the United States and
specifically to northern Nevada. We are interested in what the move
has meant to you. Please share with us what it is like to live here,
raise a family in a different culture, and whether or not you have found
what you are seeking.
Please
keep the maximum length of your story, between 500 and 750 words. Stories
selected for publication on the Historias de Familia site will be published
in there original form and in their entirety. Stories will not be edited
for consent or language. We welcome family photographs as well, see
our instructions for sending photos.
Story suggestions
and questions:
Where did your family originally live? What was you life like there?
Why did you decide to leave and come to the United States? Why northern
Nevada?
How has the move affected you and your family?
How has your life changed since you have moved to the United States?
IMPORTANT:
By submitting
a story, you are agreeing to the KNPB Historias
de Familia Participant Release. Please read in its entirety
before you send us your story. Sometiendo un cuento, usted concuerda

Photos
can be dropped off or mailed to KNPB at the above address to be scanned
into the computer by KNPB staff and entered into the web site. When
sending or dropping off photos please expect 5 business days before
they will be ready for return. To insure safe return, please make sure
we have a name and address to which to mail the photographs back. Photos
can also be submitted electronically through either email attachments
or by mailing them on standard computer floppy disks as tif, jpeg, eps
or pict formats.
