Hamlet & Richard III
presented by Nevada Shakespeare Company (www.nevada-shakespeare.org)

NSC’s production of Hamlet is a distillation of Shakespeare’s play, with no props or scenery – only six actors and six chairs. Richard III is a colorful slapstick sendup of a very dark piece that is appropriate for even families with children.

$17 general admission
2-for-1 for KNPB MemberCard holders on Wednesdays and Thursdays

First performed at London’s Royal National Theatre in 2002, the play is about youth and the tentative search for a meaning of “free” in lives that are groping for understanding in a confusing and not always nurturing environment. Bowen’s young characters may not have all the answers, but they offer some startling new insights into the ageless questions. Audience advisory: adult material.
