HOUSE WITH A HISTORY Press Contact: Jack Kelly, KNPB 775-784-4555 jack@knpb.org www.knpb.org/pressroom/ RENO, NEVADA – HOUSE WITH A HISTORY offers viewers a cultural guidebook to our past. Historic houses stand as a cultural testament to a particular age and architectural style. These structures are a result of vision and a reflection of personalities. They embody the collective spirits of their owners, architects and designers. The HOUSE WITH A HISTORY series features eight half-hour episodes that examine residential structures as more than mere shelter. Each program takes the viewer on an in-depth tour of the house, while delving into the personal stories of the people who built, designed or preserved the house. The first season of HOUSE WITH A HISTORY visits houses in the Nevada communities of Reno, Carson City and Lake Tahoe. HOUSE WITH A HISTORY series received a Telly Award in this year’s 26th Annual Telly Award competition. KNPB Channel 5 Public Broadcasting in Reno, Nevada produces HOUSE WITH A HISTORY. Funding for the series is provided by the Nevada Department of Cultural Affairs, State Historic Preservation Office; Wells Fargo Home Mortgage; and the City of Reno Arts & Culture Commission.
