The Creative Mind: A Conversation with Clay Jenkinson

KNPB Channel 5, in cooperation with Nevada Humanities, has produced a series of Chautauqua-based television programs. Each half-hour show touches on a different aspect of the 2007 Chautauqua theme, "Exploring the Nature of Creativity."

What is creativity? Where does it come from? Can it be cultivated, or is it ingrained in only some of us? These programs look at the subject of creativity from multiple perspectives — the artistic, the academic and the philosophical — in an attempt to discover the internal or environmental mechanisms that cause it. Clay Jenkinson, Chautauqua’s artistic director, hosts the series.
