More on the artists.
Lynne
Anderson is a jeweler and beadmaker who uses her grandfather's jeweler's
tools to craft her work. She makes all of her own jewelry and all of
her own beads, preferring to work in silver. Watch Lynne create the
jewelry and talk about the fascinating process.
Paintings
from all over the world are featured in Elizabeth Bates' collection.
Elizabeth travels extensively and has a wide variety of watercolors,
oil and silk paintings that she created along the way. Elizabeth talks
about her paintings and the different techniques she uses to create
them.
Chad
Sorg is a multimedia artist who takes photos and manipulates them using
software on the computer. Then, he transfers the photos to a hard surface
where he paints more images and adds a shiny varnish or resin to add
some texture. Chad's background is in painting, some of which are featured
in this program.
Classic
contemporary art is the work of Jutta Gietl who creates unique sculptures,
tables, light fixtures and fountains out of metal. Jutta uses both copper
and steel and has a special coating that she adds to the metal to create
interesting textures.
