Desire of the Everything Hills by Thomas Cahill

Desire of the Everlasting Hills

by Thomas Cahill

Doubleday & Company, Incorporated; November 1999

The ShowThe BooksTalk BackRecommended

Description:
Thomas Cahill describes Desire of Everything Hills as being about ''the phenomenon of Jesus, as experienced by those who knew him best and by the first generations of his followers.'' He wants to bring us ''as close as we can get to this often elusive historical figure,'' sometimes telling the story as if he were an eyewitness, or quoting a character from a novel. The book is designed to include footnotes resembling medieval marginalia, maps and color illustrations.
