Description:
On the Rez by Ian Frazier is an assessment of the life for the Oglala Sioux on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota in the late 1990s. Part history and part biography of Fraizer's friend Le War Lance, this work is a personal tour of "the rez." It considers the notions of freedom, independence, heroism and cultural survival.
