Description:
Over the course of 30 years of conversations, a man named Jacques
Austerlitz tells a nameless companion about his ongoing struggle with
the mystery of his identity. As a small child, Austerlitz immigrated
alone to England and as he grows up, he is told nothing of his real
family. As a much older man fleeting childhood memories return to him,
he obeys an instinct to follow their trail back to the world he left
behind a half century before.
