Description:
Gertrude and Claudius by John Updike explores Updike's take
on Hamlet. His version of the classic tells what happened in the years
leading up to the drama in Shakespeare's play. The focus is not on the
boy Hamlet but on his elders and proposes to answer some of the many
questions that were left open in the play.
