  • June 1985 — First of headliners, Carol Channing, appeared on Hello Hollywood, Hello
  • April 1986 — Grand Hotel and Casinos in Reno and Las Vegas were acquired by Bally’s
  • April 18, 1989 — Last Day of Hello Hollywood, Hello
  • 1992 — Grand Hotel in Reno acquired by Hilton

acts:

  • Original size of hotel was 1015 rooms, on 145 acres, costing $131 million.
  • In 1978, the MGM Grand in Reno was the world’s largest Casino with 2000 slots.
  • Current size of hotel is 2003 rooms with 190,000 square feet.
  • The Ziegfeld Theater (now the Hilton Theater) was and still is the world’s largest showroom stage.
  • The showroom stage is 180 feet deep by 242 feet wide, an acre in size.
  • The stage has 3 elevators with a total lifting capacity of 240,000 lbs.
