Nevada’s historic houses are a link to the state’s cultural past — the people, events and architectural movements that shaped who we are today. These structures provide a unique cultural guidebook through which we can learn, enjoy, and preserve.
Channel 5 Public Broadcasting’s new television series, House with A History, offers viewers an entertaining and educational look at historic homes in northern Nevada. The featured residential structures are more than mere shelter. These homes are the result of vision and the reflection of different personalities. They embody the collective spirits of owners, architects and designers. These historic houses stand as a cultural testament to a particular age and architectural style.

The House with A History series is hosted by Marla Carr.
Marla Carr (Host/Writer) is an award-winning photographer and writer. Her photographs have appeared in Nevada Magazine, Comstock's Business Magazine and the Wild Nevada television series. Before turning to the arts, Ms. Carr worked as a fundraising professional for PBS.

House with A History was featured at a KNPB Channel 5 free member event at the Thunderbird Lodge in Incline Village during May 2005.
