The TV Channel for America’s Latino Families

KNPB V-meVme (pronounced veh-meh from the Spanish veme meaning “watch me”) is the first national Spanish-language television network presented by public TV stations like KNPB. Vme is specially designed to entertain, educate, and inspire families in Spanish with a youthful, contemporary mix of original productions, acquisitions, and popular public television programs for American Latinos.

Vme is also a great way for anyone studying Spanish to listen to the language, learn basic comprehension skills, and new vocabulary. A variety of programming provides content for every interest.

Vme Niños educates young children through a variety of shows like Jim de la Luna, Plaza Sesamo, LazyTown, Las Tres Mellizas Bébes, and more. Each of these shows demonstrate the importance of values such as friendship, honesty, patience, and more. In addition, many of these shows teach children basic science concepts, the importance of a healthy diet, regular exercise (or play), and exploration and discovery. Exciting characters attract children viewers through lively music and story-plots that engage children as they watch.

Vme Lifestyle presents many programs dedicated to Latino food, travel, design, home and self improvement, parenting, health and well-being. Each of these topics is explored through shows like Aire Yoga, Los niños en su Casa, and a variety of cooking programs from the Food Network.

Vme Factual Entertainment provides intelligent entertainment and opinions about history, technology, nature, current affairs, news, and biography. Important Latino hosts like Andres Oppenheimer, Maria Hinojosa, and Marlene Fernandez present current affairs programs in Spanish. Host Jorge Gestoso, presents Vme original Viva Voz, a provocative nightly interview history series from BBC.
