Nevada Stories, KNPB's locally produced series of short subjects tells the many stories of Nevadans and the West – covering everything from business to outstanding community volunteers to World War II heroes.
Marion Motley:
In partnership with the University of Nevada Athletic Department, this segment honorsthe 40th anniversary of former Wolf Pack star Marion Motley’s induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Doing Business in Nevada:
High tech, high adventure, high finance, high risk and high hopes! Nevada has countless business stories to tell and KNPB is bringing them to you. Each Nevada Stories: Business Minute is a short, timely report on a business related story in Nevada. The short-form series profiles businesses from edgy entrepreneurial start-ups to companies that have classic Nevada roots. It explores trends, looks at financial facts and keeps an eye on the ever expanding business horizon of the Silver State.
The War:
In association with the Ken Burns blockbuster documentary series, The War, KNPB brought the content home to Nevada. KNPB's The War activities includes a collection of oral histories, "Nevada's Great War Stories," describing the effects of World War II on the local lifestyle and the booming economy. In addition, local viewers were invited to submit their own WWII stories online at www.knpb.org.
